This iParticipate Webinar, A Case Study: The Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement's (OCSE) Electronic Income Withholding Order (e-IWO), is presented by William Stewart. Abstract: This presentation will focus on the federal Office of Child Support Enforcement’s (OCSE) electronic-Income Withholding Order (e-IWO) Project. This project enables: • States to transmit income withholding orders electronically – no more paper! • Allows employers to notify states electronically of the status of IWOs, including terminations and lump sum payments. There is NO cost to employers for participating in the e-IWO Project. The e-IWO Project, which started in 2004, has resulted in: • Increased child support collections • Reduced processing and handling costs for employers • Improved communication between child support agencies and employers • Withholding information provided in a consistent and uniform format. William K. Stuart, Principal System Architect, Lockheed Martin.Bill has been working with the electronic-Income Withholding Order (e-IWO) Project since its inception in 2004 and he brings decades of experience as the former child support coordinator in Schenectady County New York and as director of systems operations for the New York State Child Support Enforcement. Bill holds a BA from the University of Miami and a master's degree in Public Administration from the State University of New York at Albany.
